The guardabarranco (turquoise-browed Motmot in English) is Nicaragua‘s beloved national bird. I was in the Torres Molina area of Managua, believe it or not, and was able to get close to this beautiful bird.
El guardabarranco is el ave nacional de Nicaragua, muy querido por su belleza y gentileza. Estuve en la zona de Torres Molina en Managua (aunque no lo creás) y pude acercarme a este bello pájaro.
